Elemental Mark Making - 13.06.26 11-1:30pm
The experience at Bees Sauna, situated beside Broughty Ferry Castle in Dundee, the beach and the Tay, is uniquely characterised by the powerful presence of the four elements: fire, water, earth and air.
The transition from the sauna’s high temperatures to the cold embrace of the sea brings a heightened awareness of the elemental differences, creating a dynamic and memorable experience.
If you could put this personal experience, thought or feeling down on paper, what would it look like?
During the drawing session, your hand will be guided to lead the creation of artwork. Under the direction of Kirsty Stevens from @charcotstudio, you will be introduced to straightforward drawing techniques designed to encourage the natural flow of marks on the page. These methods will help you produce expressive and meaningful artwork, allowing for a deeply personal and evocative visual response to the elemental experience.
The Experience

Wood-fired sauna in Bees Sauna. This time is for you to let the warmth relax your body and mind.

You are encouraged to ask any questions you may have about the workshop at this stage.
